Grange Golf Club

Few Dublin golf clubs carry quite the same dual identity as Grange. Founded in 1910, the club operates two distinct layouts — the main parkland course and the shorter Manor course — set against the lower slopes of the Dublin Mountains in Rathfarnham, one of the city's most storied golfing corridors. The land itself does much of the work: mature beech and oak woodland frames virtually every hole, and the varied terrain gives the course a natural rhythm that purely flat parkland layouts rarely achieve.

The main course has long been regarded as one of the stronger members' clubs in Leinster, respected rather than celebrated on national rankings but consistently well-maintained and genuinely challenging for mid-to-high handicappers. The closing stretch, playing back toward the clubhouse through dense tree cover, rewards accurate iron play over raw power.

Edmondstown sits within easy reach of central Dublin, yet the wooded, hilly setting feels a world removed from the city. Nearby clubs like Stackstown and Edmondstown itself reflect a neighbourhood that takes its golf seriously, making Grange a natural anchor of that local tradition.
